The search is on for Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year

The window of time for applications has been extended this year to give the country’s top sprayers more time to enter. Syngenta application specialist, Scott Cockburn, highlighted with this season’s extended autumn spraying window of good conditions many operators have remained exceptionally busy. “Now, with most being well up to date, there’s a chance to take stock and the opportunity to enter FSOOTY.”

Entries will remain open until after LAMMA, one of the key events for sprayer operators to view new machinery and technology. As Syngenta will be present at the event (Hall 10 Stand 10.300)  It’s a perfect opportunity for interested sprayer operators to visit the award organiser Syngenta’s stand to see new R&D and pick up the latest tips to achieve a more timely and accurate application.

“We always welcome a lot of operators at the event, including many past participants and winners of FSOOTY. It’s a great time for those who haven’t considered entering in the past to find out more and put themselves forward,” he added.

Scott also urged farmers or contractors to put forward their operators for the awards and the chance to gain recognition for the essential role they fulfil.

FSOOTY seeks to reward the country’s top sprayer operators – whilst also sharing the practical tips and best practice that can help all operators enhance results and protect the environment. It’s open to all sprayer operators, with the initial stage involving just a few on-line questions.

The winner will be announced at Cereals Event 2022, with the presentation always one of the highlights of the show. This years prizes to win include a trip to the 2023 Agritechnica event in Hannover, Germany.
