Returning for its second year, the National TB conference is a platform for farmers and industry stakeholders to come together and discuss the challenges of bovine tuberculosis (bTB) and the barriers that remain towards a disease-free future.

A hot topic in the transitioning agri industry, sustainability and green farming will be the overarching theme at this year’s Midlands Machinery Show, taking place on 8-9th November at the Newark Showground.

The third consecutive GB Calf Week will be kicking off at the UK’s largest dairy industry event on 13th September, with a series of on-farm and virtual events promoting responsible dairy calf management.

Aimed at farmers, growers, landowners and the wider agricultural sector, the Autumn Farming Conference is organised by Larking Gowen, a major regional independent accountancy partnership and one of the UK’s top 40 accountancy firms, in conjunction with the Country Land and Business Association (CLA), the membership organisation for owners of land, property and businesses in rural England and Wales.

Set to take place at the Staffordshire County Showground on 18th and 19th November, there will be more than £20,000 in prize money on offer at this year’s English Winter Fair.

Farmers are invited to a free event hosted by AHDB on 22nd August to learn about improving stock selection for slaughter based on current market trends and how to achieve a healthier bottom line.

The Dairy Show is set to return to the Bath & West Showground in Somerset on Wednesday 4th October 2023 to showcase the latest innovations, address challenges and opportunities around net zero, and celebrate the best in British dairying.

With a plethora of machinery, technology and productivity grants expected to re-open in December 2023/January 2024, the Midlands Machinery Show is well timed for farmers looking to make the most of these.
