Prime Video teases first-look photos from Clarkson’s Farm series two

The hit series is set to return with all the season one favourites – Kaleb, Cheerful Charlie, Gerald and Lisa – all continuing to keep a watchful eye on Jeremy Clarkson’s agricultural efforts.
Amazon Prime Video has released a series of teaser photos from the eagerly anticipated second season of Clarkson’s Farm, which will see a return of the whole Diddly Squat team.
The smash-hit first series followed Clarkson’s chaotic first year in farming, including everything from regular sheep escapes; to Clarkson’s disastrous attempts drilling and attempts to manoeuvre his ‘vast’ tractor; to the effects of an unexpected pandemic and extreme weather.
Filming on the new series began last year but the content remains under wraps. However, Clarkson has continued to share snippets of his farming life on Instagram, giving fans an indication of what to expect.
Clarkson revealed last summer that he had begun keeping beef cattle, later telling The Johnathan Ross Show he had been assured they would be “easier” than the sheep he kept last year, which he described as “belligerent”. However, Clarkson was later attacked by one of the cows which he says “wanted to kill him”.
He also shared an image of his bandaged thumb at the end of last year but didn’t elaborate on the source of the injury.
It seems likely that series two will feature his ongoing and highly publicised battle with the locals in Chipping Norton, and his recently refused planning permission. Clarkson had planned to build a new 70-space car park and 60-seat restaurant at the Oxfordshire farm as a diversification.
However, it was refused planning permission on the grounds it would be ‘out of keeping’ with the Cotswolds Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Clarkson has also had ongoing battles with locals over the level of traffic in the village as fans flock to the Diddly Squat farm shop.
The farm shop is currently closed until March while Clarkson replaces the steel roof with one that is more “visually harmonious”.
Clarkson bought the 1,000-acre farm in 2008 and took over the running of it in 2019.
Whatever the content of the new series, it will see a return of all the first season favourites, Kaleb, Cheerful Charlie, Lisa and Gerald – and seems likely to once again show a blend of humorous calamities, the serious challenges facing farmers and Clarkson’s genuine love of agriculture.
