Police investigate incident involving tractor on flooded high street

West Mercia Police confirmed it is investigating an incident involving a tractor driving through a flooded high street in Tenbury Wells, setting off a wave of water which hit surrounding shops. 

Tractor had triggered a wave of water that hit local businesses and houses, smashing windows on Tenbury Wells high street.

A video circulating online shows a tractor driving through a high street and triggering a wave of water, which hit local businesses and houses, smashing windows and knocking doors open. 

The incident happened on Sunday, 24th November. 

A spokesperson for Tenbury Police said: “We’re actively investigating the incident, and officers are in Tenbury Wells this morning speaking to people whose businesses and properties may have been affected, as well as reviewing additional video footage. No arrests have been made at this time.” 

According to media reports, several business owners said they had already been flooded, but the wave worsened the damage.
