Norfolk farm hit by cyber attack

Personal details of staff working at a Norfolk poultry factory have been stolen in a cyber attack.
According to BBC News, criminals had remotely accessed Banham Poultry’s system in the early hours of 18th August.
Staff details such as National Insurance numbers, copies of passports and bank details were accessed.
A company spokesperson said the firm immediately shut down its computer systems and “engaged external forensic specialists.”
The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office has been contacted and has installed additional security measures.
The company also provided staff with advice on credit monitoring and fraud detection following the security breach.
Banham Poultry, which supplies chicken to major supermarkets, employs about 600 people.
