RABI selected as Charity of the Year finalist
10th August 2022
RABI’s support for the farming community has received national recognition in the prestigious Charity Times and Third Sector Awards for 2022. Included in the four awards categories for which the charity is shortlisted, is the highly sought-after ‘Charity of the Year 2022’ award.
RABI chief executive, Alicia Chivers, said she is delighted that the work of the charity has been acknowledged alongside other such well-regarded charity and voluntary sector organisations.
“I am incredibly proud that RABI has been shortlisted for these four awards,” says Mrs Chivers. “As we continue to develop really ambitious initiatives to provide even better support for farming people, these nominations are a recognition of the talent, dedication and commitment of everyone at the charity.
“To be shortlisted, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with charities such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Shelter and Tommy’s, demonstrates that RABI’s ground-breaking support services deserve to be celebrated, not just within the farming sector but on a national scale.”
The Charity Times Awards and Third Sector Awards celebrate excellence and best-practice in the not-for-profit sector. Entries are judged by a panel of experts who assess against specific criteria including impact, innovation, community focus and a charity’s ability to successfully overcome challenges.
As well as the Charity Times Charity of the Year award, RABI has been shortlisted for the Charity Times Change Project of the Year award, Charity Times Supporting Leader of the Year award and Third Sector Breakthrough of the Year award.
“I’m particularly proud that RABI has been shortlisted for the Charity Times Charity of the Year award. Any organisation is only as good as it’s people and this nomination represents a recognition that we have one of the best charity teams, providing the most effective support to farming people,” Mrs Chivers concludes.
Both awards ceremonies take place in London during September.
