Grain drier business becomes home to the pink mobile grain drier
4th March 2024
Master Farm Services will showcase its range of mobile grain driers and ancillaries, including the first pink mobile drier, all in aid of raising awareness and money for the Breast Cancer UK charity. Farmers are invited to the event, where refreshments will be available along with a host of fun activities throughout the day.
Set to host its first open day since the Covid-19 pandemic, Master Grain Driers will welcome visitors to view and learn about its products, and to be in with the chance of buying a one-of-a-kind 30t pink grain drier in aid of Breast Cancer UK. All proceeds from the sale of the drier, as well as any donations during the two-day event, will go directly to charity.
Having hosted its last open day just two weeks shy of the first Covid-19 lockdown, the company decided to open its doors again for 2024 – and opted to raise money for a worthy cause at the same time.
Visitors will be able to see the company’s range of new mobile grain driers in various capacities, refurbished second hand driers and other grain handling products. There will also be an incentive offer of £1,000 off all driers purchased on the day.
But it’s not just about the products, said Master Farm’s Garry Ingram, as the company wants visitors to be able to talk shop and socialise in a relaxed atmosphere. As well as refreshments there will be indoor activities such as archery, axe throwing and soft pistol shooting.
Master Farm Services has been importing the Master Pedrotti Drier since 1981 and what farmers need from a grain drier has changed dramatically in that time, Garry noted. Conventional small PTO tractor driven driers are few and far between – at least 20t up to 75t electric driers are now required, with full automation and integrated conveyors, grain bins and wet pits – in summary a seamless grain handling and storage facility.
Around 90% of the driers sold by Master Farm Services are now fully automated, he continued, but the company has something for every budget, with second hand refurbished driers available and the option to hire a drier for the harvest if required.
The company works nationwide, usually directly with the customer though it has a small number of long standing dealers in the South West, the West Midlands and Scotland. It also has its own fleet of vans and engineers to carry out services and repairs, plus vehicles to deliver and collect machines.
The open day will be held on 6th and 7th March 2024 from 8am–5pm, at Master Farm Services HQ, Bures Park, Colne Road, Bures, Suffolk, CO8 5DJ.
