The 23-year-old woman was last seen leaving her home in Barracks Farm just after 3pm on Tuesday, 18th February.

Her red Ford Focus was found parked on the B6278 between Eggleston and Stanhope the next day, on 19th February.

The force confirmed that Durham Police officers carried out an extensive search alongside specialist partners and had been working around the clock to locate Ms Hall.

Her body was found in a very remote area in Teesdale just after 9.30am on Sunday, 23rd February.

A spokesperson for Durham Police said: “Jenny’s family have been notified and are currently being supported by specialist officers. They have asked for privacy at this devasting time.

“It is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

“The force would particularly like to thank the expert mountain rescue teams who have been working intensively alongside officers on the ground.”

The thoughts of the Farmers Guide team are with the family during this difficult time and their continuing hardships.
