Over £2.4 million worth of vintage and classic tractors, steam engines, vehicles, motorcycles and petroliana were sold during the Cheffins’ vintage auction.

Traction engines, vintage vehicles and beloved 4x4s will be showcased during this year’s Steam & Vintage and Land Rover Shows in Suffolk. Farmers Guide is delighted to be supporting the event. 

A restored 1928 Foden C Type will be one of 300 tractors that will go under the hammer during the first vintage auction of the year held at Cheffins’ sale ground.

The third Brian Chester Tractor Road Run gathered more than 70 vintage tractors that drove through picturesque Yorkshire villages. The event raised over £1,100 for the Sir Robert Ogden MacMillan Centre at Harrogate Hospital. 

Almost 50 vintage tractors took part in a successful Shropshire tractor run in aid of an Alzheimer’s charity last weekend.

Toy tractors which belonged to a late Shropshire farmer sold for up to £200 at an auction held at Shrewsbury Auction Centre.

Over 1,000 entries of vintage and heritage tractors, commercial vehicles, stationary engines and agricultural equipment competed for top honours at the Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show. Celebrating its 20th year, the show also brought together a wide range of visitors and exhibitors who have been meeting up at every event since its inception.

This year marks 75 years of the Land Rover Series 1, so a fitting celebration will take place at the Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show on 4th and 5th November.

Over 2,600 lots, including more than 250 rare vintage and classic tractors, will go under the hammer at the Cheffins Vintage Sale, the largest vintage auction event in Europe, on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd April.

Auctioneer estimates the sale of over 40 classic and vintage Massey Ferguson tractors and implements could achieve over £500,000.
