Techneat to launch new multi-purpose seeder unit at LAMMA 2023
15th December 2022
The Cambridgeshire-based firm Techneat Engineering has confirmed it will be launching its new Multicast Applicator at LAMMA 2023, enabling farmers to spread all types and sizes of seeds with the same unit.
The new Multicast Applicator combines the roles of Techneat’s Autocast V2, Terracast V2 and Avacast GR models, and was designed to save farmers time and labour when seeding. By simply changing the applicator’s single metering cartridge, farmers can use Multicast to apply most types of products including Avadex granules, grass seed and cover crops.
Each product is applied accurately though a distribution head which is available in many different configurations. The versatile applicator features a powerful hydraulic driven fan alongside a Garmin GPS speed controller and comes with either a 200- or 400-litre hopper.
All Multicasts will arrive ready to use, complete with a wiring kit, outlets, and a coil of hose.
James English, technical support manager for Techneat, said the unit will bring major benefits to farmers: “The Multicast is a multi-use tool that will apply all types of products by changing the cartridge, offering farmers the option to transfer the same applicator between implements easily – especially if additional fitting /wiring kits are purchased.
“It will be available in either a 200l or 400l hopper size with all the usual machine specifications including: a Garmin GPS control system, a powerful hydraulic fan, a single distribution head available in various denominations, a metering unit able to cope with granules and a complete range of interchangeable cartridges for small seeds, grass seed or cover crops.
“The new machine is National Sprayer Testing Scheme (NSTS) compliant and will have additional options of either a 12m or 15m boom kit, as well as trailed, UTV skid or a standard 3-point linkage available to customers” he added.
Techneat will be exhibiting its new and existing products in hall 20 stand 20.352 at LAMMA 2023 in Birmingham.
