New rotary hedge cutter launches at demo day
19th February 2024
Be the first to watch live demonstrations of the new Major Rotary Hedge Cutter across the UK during selected dates in February.
The MJ39 Major Rotary Hedge Cutter is the ultimate tool for the most intense jobs, according to the Irish agricultural machinery manufacturer, Major Equipment.
Twin rotors fitted with eight blades deliver extreme cutting and shredding on overgrown hedges and scrubby areas. Its gear box driveline requires less power consumption and eliminates any rotor balancing issues. This system requires less fuel consumption – owners save up to three litres per hour compared to flail head systems, says the company.
Major Equipment states that with less wearing parts, the MJ39 is a durable and reliable attachment for contractors, councils, and operators demanding minimal downtime and total cost of ownership. The body is designed to push the cut material into the hedge and prevents debris falling on to the road.
All Major products are built to last and the MJ39 is no exception, says the company. The use of Strenx 700MC high performance steel for the body, Hardox abrasion-resistant skids, and a galvanised finish ensures the unit can cope with all manner work.
Michael Tomlinson of Michael E Tomlinson Contractors will be on hand to share valuable tips on maximising efficiencies with the Major Rotary Hedge Cutter and offer advice on specific challenges managing hedge cutting contracts. The Grassmen team will also be on site.
