Lemken showcases new machinery at Cereals 2023
5th June 2023
LEMKEN UK will be showing their range of machinery on Stand 812 at Cereals 2023. Visit their stand to explore the LEMKEN and Steketee machines that will be on display at the show.
New machines for 2023.
The Solitair DT will have its first UK showcase after its UK debut in autumn 2022. The machine is efficient, lightweight and incredibly easy to tow. The integrated compact disc harrow, comfortable operation and a large, optionally divided seed hopper is the basis of Lemken’s new Solitair DT seed drill, available in working widths of 4 and 6 metres. Greatest possible efficiency with maximum precision – these were the parameters set for designing the Solitair DT. The result is a drill combination with truly impressive performance.
Optimal seedbed preparation.
The integrated Heliodor compact disc harrow leaves an evenly loosened, finely crumbly, level seedbed. Corrugated discs are optionally available for less intensive seedbed preparation. For precise depth control each disc is individually attached to the frame via leaf springs for precise depth control. Unlike commonly used rubber buffers, leaf springs guarantee that the discs have significantly higher track stability during operation. Optionally, the discs are also available with hydraulic depth adjustment.
For less intensive soil mixing, the 22-mm corrugated discs have a waveform shape. These discs are particularly suitable where the germination of weeds is to be suppressed or working through pre cultivated soils where catch or cover crops have been grown in advance of the cash crop. In dry regions, corrugated discs allow water- saving seedbed preparation because only the area in front of the seeding coulters is loosened. The use of corrugated discs reduces tractive force requirements even further.
Rubin 10 disc harrow.
The Rubin 10 compact disc harrow has proved a popular machine to UK and Irish farmers for its superb performance and precision for deep and shallow cultivation strategies on farm and will be on display at the show. The Rubin 10 guarantees intensive, uniform mixing of organic matter and soil to a depth of approximately 14 cm. Its high weight and disc diameter guarantees penetration, even under hard conditions, and therefore reduces moisture loss from evaporation. This makes the Rubin highly suitable for shallow, reliable stubble cultivation at high working speeds. Available from 3m – 7m working widths and choice of rear rollers for soil conditioning or consolidation.
Karat 10 cultivator.
Another first viewing in the UK for Lemken is the Karat 10 trailed cultivator. Low-draught and blockage-free for shallow and deep stubble cultivation. The new Karat 10 three-row cultivator reveals its efficient design even at first glance: The tines are now arranged symmetrically about the towing axle, making the machine extremely low-draught and ensuring intensive mixing at the same time. This is particularly important when using the cultivator with track guidance systems. Available in working widths from 3 – 7m in mounted and trailed configurations.
