Fendt will be giving a clear vote of confidence to the future of the LAMMA Show when it welcomes visitors to Birmingham’s NEC venue in January.
Fendt will be giving a clear vote of confidence to the future of the Lamma Show when it welcomes visitors to Birmingham’s NEC venue in January.
The event has been chosen to provide the new Fendt Ideal combine with its first appearance at a UK agricultural show, alongside another debutant – the Fendt Rotana Combi Baler/wrapper. In addition, a Fendt Squadra ultra-high density baler will be present for inspection and is expected to attract interest from the biomass sector in particular.
Showgoers will also find a comprehensive selection from the Fendt Vario wheeled tractor line-up, from the popular, multi-role 300 Series, (the Fendt 313 received a ‘Tractor of the Year’ award at the recent EIMA Show in Italy) right up to the range-topping 1000 Series. The MT900 tracked machine will also be there. And, at the forefront of crop-spraying technology, a Fendt Rogator will add its considerable presence to the occasion.
Fendt’s presence at the NEC in January will demonstrate emphatically to visitors that the company is now truly a ‘full-line’ provider to the UK agricultural industry.
Martin Hamer is Fendt’s manager for national sales in the UK and Ireland. He’s delighted that the company’s substantial presence will be part of the show’s first staging at the NEC. “Being the largest agricultural machinery show in the UK, we believe that Lamma creates an excellent shop window where we can promote our business,” he states, “and, indeed, the whole agricultural industry across the UK and Ireland.
“The event also has an important role to play in attracting young talent to our industry, people who will go on to become tomorrow’s farmers, suppliers, technicians and advisers. We need opportunities such as Lamma to demonstrate that UK agriculture is an exciting place to work.”
Martin also makes the point that Lamma’s decision to bring the event under cover has one overwhelming advantage. “We will now be able to do everything we need to without the threats of freezing in the January weather, being blown away or washed out! The NEC is a superb venue and one that the event truly deserves.”
The show will also allow Fendt to spread the word on its new ‘Ahead of Time’ initiative. It starts with the statement: “Fendt customers know what we’ve always believed: when you’re working against the clock, only the best will do.”
Fendt understands that farmers need equipment and back-up that they can depend on totally, so that windows of opportunity can identified and capitalised upon. Once this has been achieved, greater flexibility is created with regard to next priority, and so on…
The ‘Ahead of Time’ philosophy is based on the need to achieve the best results possible, using all the tools at the individual farmer’s disposal. This can mean, for example, minimising soil damage, where the Fendt Variogrip system can make a big difference; achieving a perfect grain sample, or creating top quality feed.
“We at Fendt are excited at the prospect of meeting customers old and new at Lamma’s inaugural event at the NEC,” Martin says. “The timing has always been ideal – in terms of farm workload – but the January weather could often have the final say. Happily, this is no longer the case.
So, whatever it’s like outside, you can be assured of a warm reception from the Fendt team in Hall 9, Stand 9.210, on the 8th and 9th of January, 2019.
