A turkey rearing premises in Norfolk is the latest to be hit by an outbreak of avian influenza, as the government announces new measures to control the spread.

The H5N8 strain of avian influenza was confirmed at a turkey fattening farm near Northallerton on Saturday (28th November).

Avian flu H5N8 has been confirmed in captive birds at a non-poultry premises near Stroud in Gloucestershire.
