Six pigs killed after lorry overturned on roundabout 

Six pigs have been killed after a livestock lorry overturned on a roundabout in a Suffolk village.

The accident happened on A143 in Stuston, near Diss, at about 10.50 am on Wednesday 3rd July. 

Suffolk Police confirmed that the lorry crashed into a lamppost, which in turn knocked it, before overturning.  

There was then an oil spill from the vehicle, which happened due to the impact of the crash.

Officers said that six pigs died and many others were injured.  

The driver of the lorry was assessed by paramedics, but no major injuries were reported.
