Muller announces milk price increase for April
8th March 2024
Milk supplier and distributor Muller has announced a price rise for its farmer suppliers, starting in April.
Farmers who meet the conditions for the Muller’s Advantage scheme will receive a milk price of 37.5p per litre from 1st April 2024.
Muller said scheme is designed to foster collaboration within the supply chain, enhance herd health, and contribute to environmental sustainability.
“Recognising farmers’ efforts”
Muller added that its aim in raising the milk price is to recognise farmers’ efforts in improving various aspects of the dairy production process.
Richard Collins, head of agriculture at Müller Milk & Ingredients, said the processor “recognises the ongoing pressures for supplying farms”.
“With the market looking stable, we will continue to do what we can to support, and protect security of supply.”
Arla has also announced a milk price increase of 0.88p per litre.
