Company celebrates 50 years of feeding and bedding

2021 is the year that French-based Lucas G marks 50 years of manufacturing feeding and bedding machinery.
Lucas G’s comprehensive range recently expanded with the addition of new high capacity bedders – the largest of which is the Square 278, capable of blowing 27m3 of straw in under five minutes. Suitable for all types of straw, the bedder’s unique toothed shredder design ensures straw is not chopped and straw quality is maintained, offering the best results for bedding and absorption rates, reduced straw usage and higher animal welfare.
The popular Castor +R range has received some updates including a new joystick control, uprated hydraulics, and two new sizes. It is now available up to 18m3 with single, twin, and triple rotors. Farms can use it for bedding with straw and feeding grass silage as well as other bulk materials.
When short straw is required for animal feed or poultry housing the C-Kator range offers precise cut control. A water spray system reduces dust and its impact on animal lung and eye health. Available with a 100-litre water tank, it works by spraying water via high precision nozzles mounted directly on the chute.
Finally, Lucas G offers the UBI and Distor range of linkage and telehandler mounted straw spreaders designed for round and square bales with minimum dust and noise.
