Lucas G offers products aimed at maximising productivity on livestock farms. Originating from the heart of the French livestock region, Lucas G brings over 50 years of manufacturing expertise and know-how to UK farms through its comprehensive range of feeding and bedding machinery.
Its range includes bale unrollers, silage feeders, straw spreaders and trailed, as well as self-propelled diet feeders.
One of the most popular models in the UK is the Castor +R silage feeder and straw blower. Available from 2–18m³ capacity with single, twin, or triple rotors these machines have become an essential component to managing housed livestock on any size of farm.
Recently the in-cab electronic controller has been upgraded with an ergonomic joystick for operating the 270-degree swivel chute and a range-selector for the floor speed giving the operator effortless control when bedding or feeding silage. The larger triple rotor machines are unrivalled in their performance when it comes to high-capacity processing of straw or silage, the company says.
Higher capacity machines increase farm productivity by enabling more material to be processed in a shorter amount of time and often with lower fuel consumption and less wear and tear in comparison to using a smaller capacity machine for the equivalent size herd of animals.
Lucas G also offers a range of vertical auger diet feeders ranging from 8–42m³ capacity available with several distribution options including trap doors, conveyors, or a front-mounted blower system. Both product ranges will be on display at LAMMA.
