Speciality harvesters and controlled application
6th December 2021
Ploeger invites you to learn more about the company’s range of specialty harvesters and controlled application.
Ploeger will have an AT4103 LNMS self-propelled three-wheeled applicator, a BH100 fresh market bean harvester and a CP100 fresh market sweetcorn puller on display.
As the costs of urea and ammonium nitrate have more than doubled since last year, farmers are facing the question how to profitably fulfil the N-requirement of their crops for the 2022 season. Exact application of valuable nutrients has always been a key to maximise the quality and yield of field crops, however with increasing nutrient prices the effect of precise application is increasing. When manure, digestate or other organic nutrients are available, it is well worth considering the most efficient application technique.
For over three decades, Ploeger has offered a range of fresh market vegetable harvesters for beans and sweetcorn. The CP100 corn puller enables fresh market growers to deliver mechanically harvested, top-quality sweetcorn with good shelf-life. The CP100 provides its gentle harvesting technique in a one-row tractor drawn model. The BH100 single row tow-behind green bean harvester allows growers to compete more favourably in a competitive market where finding good reliable help for handpicking is more difficult each year. Growers know that having good quality crops available at a moment’s notice, means more sales and higher profits.
