Farm Safety Week 2023

Now in its 11th year, Farm Safety Week raises awareness of the impacts of farm accidents on the industry and community and promotes the importance of farming safely. 

Figures from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Fatal Injuries in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing in GB Report 2022/23 reveal that, with 21 farm workers losing their lives over the past year, farming continues to have the poorest safety record of any occupation in Great Britain.

Farm Safety Week has grown to become a key focus in the farming calendar. The release of the HSE annual fatal injuries report serves as a sombre reminder of why The Farm Safety Foundation was established nearly 10 years ago and why the charity and this campaign still matter!
