36th National Vintage Tractor Road Run – Suffolk

April 20

36th national tractor road run

The 36th national vintage tractor road run will take place in Suffolk

The event was first held in 1985, founded by Ashley Godsall & Robert Coles. The rules were simple, it must be held on Easter Sunday in a different county each year and it must raise money for local charities.

This years run will begin at Blackthorpe Barn, Rougham and travel through Thurston, Pakenham, Norton, Elmswell, Wetherden and Haughley before stopping for lunch at the Food Museum in  Stowmarket.

After lunch it will depart via the Market Place and Finborough Road onto Harleston, Borley Green, Woolpit , Tostock and finish by returning to Blackthorpe Barn. A total distance of approximately 29 miles.

This years chosen charities are SARS999 (Suffolk Accident Rescue Service) and St Nicholas Hospice. A street collection will be in operation along the route as tractors pass through. An estimated 200 tractors will take part with entrants from all across the country.
