British company RJ Herbert Engineering Ltd, which has been in administration since July 2016, has been acquired by Dutch company Herbert Engineering BV (effective 1st November 2016). The acquisition of the Agriculture and Freshpack Division by the European distributor Herbert Engineering BV brings an end to months of uncertainty concerning the future of this division of the company based in Cambridgeshire.
As an exclusive distributor of Herbert Farm Fresh Pack and Process technology and machinery, Mark Verschuren has, in his role as managing director of Herbert Engineering BV, been able to successfully market the British brand in Europe and beyond.
“The acquisition of the Agriculture Division of RJ Herbert Engineering Ltd fits in our vision for the future. The know-how and expertise concerning this industry that has been developed since 1972 make us an extremely reliable partner for fresh and the process industry. This acquisition gives us scope to introduce our Total Solutions concept worldwide by the end of this year,” said Mr Verschuren.
