NEW TASCC Codes of Practice issued

New Codes of Practice for the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC) have been published on the Agricultural Industries Confederation’s website ahead of the codes coming into force on 1 February 2018.

The new codes have been produced by the TASCC Working Group which has liaised with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the codes reflect the latest legislative, industry and customer practice in terms of storage, testing, merchanting and haulage. The codes are instrumental in ensuring safety of food and feed.

Early publication on the AIC website (bit.ly/2Cc1y1U) will allow businesses involved to prepare for harvest 2018. Alongside the new codes there is a ‘summary of changes’ document as well as several templates for hauliers, storekeepers and trailer hire companies.

In May and June, AIC will hold a series of seminars for TASCC participants to provide in-depth information on the new codes and their implementation.

TASCC is the leading trade assurance scheme for combinable crops in the UK covering the supply chain from farm gate to primary processor encompassing grain storage, haulage, merchanting and testing.  TASCC has mutual recognition status with all sectors of the grain trade both nationally and internationally.
