In 2018, Horsch Maschinen GmbH achieved a record turnover of 402 million Euro, the highest in the company’s history and a 12% increase on the previous year.
In 2018, Horsch Maschinen GmbH achieved a record turnover of 402 million Euro, the highest in the company’s history and a 12% increase on the previous year. This is the third time in a row that Horsch has had double-digit growth, which it puts down to heavy investment at its manufacturing sites, in research and development and always focusing on the needs of customers.
Growth has come in all sectors (cultivation, seeding, spraying and logistics) thanks to innovation in its product range and the ability to configure it machines specifically for the needs of individual markets.
In 2018, markets like Great Britain, France and Scandinavia developed extremely well. Germany and Eastern Europe, especially Urkraine, remain key markets with increasing sales in USA, Brazil and China. Horsch products have a reputation for performance and reliability. Widely available through its strong and professional dealer network, Horsch focus on developing and supplying products that meet the needs of farmers.
At the Agritechnica 2019, Horsch will present innovations in its current product segments as well as a focus on technologies for hybrid farming, that combine the best of organic and conventional farming.
As pressure from society forces the farming sector to change, hybrid farming is seen as an important future development. Beyond the supply of agricultural machinery, Horsch is striving to keep customers informed and prepared through seminars, customer magazine terraHorsch and with technologies like apps and Internet of Things. With innovations such as the grain singulation system SingularSystem (awarded the Golden DLG Seal of Approval for the working quality), Horsch is becoming more and more a solution provider for the modern and sustainable production of healthy foods.

Horsch employees 1,600 people all over the world and is invested a record 30 million Euro in manufacturing to meet the increasing demand for its products in all sectors.
A completely new hall was finished at Ronneburg and at the plant protection site in Landau the capacity was almost tripled, while 23 million Euro was invested at its headquarters in Schwandorf.
Despite the difficult climate conditions and droughts in certain markets, the markets worldwide developed well. Horsch predicts these issues to continue affect the agricultural engineering sector in 2019 although the beginning of the year has been positive.
