Martin Lishman to showcase latest developments at LAMMA ‘24
16th November 2023
Crop storage specialist Martin Lishman Ltd is gearing up for LAMMA 2024 – the ideal platform to showcase its latest developments in energy-saving grain cooling systems and agricultural innovations.
Sustainable grain cooling solutions
For close to five decades, Martin Lishman’s grain cooling systems have played a key role in helping farmers save energy while ensuring the highest quality of stored grains.
In response to the changing demands of the industry, Martin Lishman Ltd has committed years of dedicated research and development to crafting storage systems that optimise the post-harvest stage. And come LAMMA 2024, its cutting-edge solutions will take centre stage.
Martin Lishman believes that what sets it apart is its comprehensive range of grain quality and crop storage equipment, making it the complete ‘one stop shop’ for harvest needs.
The company’s award-winning products include the Barn Owl Wireless automatic crop monitoring and control system, and the UK’s leading storage systems Pile-Dry and FloorVent Pedestals and Fans. These solutions have helped farmers slash crop cooling times, whilst saving on energy bills in the process, Martin Lishman says.
The exceptional airflow design of Pile-Dry Pedestals and Pile-Dry cooling fans allows for fast reduction of grain temperatures. Paired with Martin Lishman’s automatic fan controllers, these systems use temperature and humidity sensors strategically placed around the store, employing advanced cooling algorithms to optimise fan usage.
This automated approach results in significant energy savings, as the system operates only when it is most efficient to do so.
Barn Owl Wireless takes crop monitoring and control to the next level, allowing users to oversee store temperatures and control cooling fans from anywhere in the world.
In automatic mode, the system uses a choice of control programmes and only turns the fans on when it is most efficient to do so, which results in faster cooling and can save at least 40% on energy bills in the process.
Potato quality equipment
As part of the company’s commitment to crop quality, potato growers can explore a unique assortment of tools and equipment tailored to ensure the highest quality yield possible.
The spotlight will shine on the high-tech TuberLog electronic potato, a revolutionary tool used to identify sources of damage in harvesters and handling machinery. Complementing this is the firm’s range of dry matter testers, offering three accurate ways to instantly measure dry matter.
Compact sprayers
Martin Lishman will also feature a selection from its range of compact sprayers. Designed for small-scale spraying applications, these ultra-durable sprayers are ideal for tasks such as field margins and paddock work.
The Martin Lishman sprayer range includes trailed, ATV, tractor and demountable models with tank sizes ranging from 70-600 litres and boom widths from 1-8m. Models can be customised to customers specific requirements.
Soil test kits
Designed to test all the key soil parameters, this new range of test kits provide farmers with a set of comprehensive tools for soil analysis. Notably, since the discontinuation of the popular Palintest soil test kits, Martin Lishman is thrilled to once again offer a reliable soil testing solution.
Joel Capper, managing director of Martin Lishman Ltd, expresses the company’s anticipation: “LAMMA is always a good show for us. It provides an excellent opportunity to engage with both new and existing customers, allowing them to experience our products first-hand. We’re eagerly anticipating the 2024 event.”
