The 2017 gross output value of the control varieties is 5.51 t/ha, which is very close to the four-year average (5.50 t/ha), reports ADHB.
The varieties Campus (106%), Wembley (105%), Nikita (104%) and Windozz (104%) have performed well in the range of sites in 2017.
Based on the four-year average values, there are eight varieties with a gross output of 105% – V316OL, Alizze, Campus, Nikita, all with a UK recommendation, Elgar, Flamingo and Windozz recommended for the East/West and Anastasia recommended for the North. There is a good spread of both conventional and restored hybrid varieties in these varieties.
The clubroot resistant variety Mentor has a gross output of 98% and the turnip yellows virus resistant variety Amalie has a gross output of 96%. The semi-dwarf variety DK Secret has a gross output of 96%.
Gross output values for the candidate varieties, based on the preliminary four-year averages, currently show Django at 105%, Elevation (104%), Zeland (104%) and two varieties resistant to turnip yellows virus, Architect (101%) and Annalise at 100%.
