The closure of the company’s Newport depot will be effective from Friday 29th November.
Rea Valley Tractors said that the decision was made as part of the company’s continued efforts to strengthen and optimise its operations across Shropshire and Staffordshire.
It also follows its recent expansion, including the acquisition of the Russells Cubley depot.
A company’s spokesperson said: “Rationalising depot locations ensures Rea Valley Tractors is well-positioned to adapt to the evolving challenges and opportunities within the agricultural industry, both now and in the years ahead.
“Rea Valley Tractors commitment to supporting the agricultural community in this area remains as strong as ever.”
Significant change
Rea Valley Tractors’ managing director, Matt Mulligan, added: “We recognise this is a significant change, but it is one that enables us to better serve our customers.
“Our enhanced capacity at Cubley and Shrewsbury, alongside an increased field team presence, allows us to deliver the reliable, high-quality support our customers expect, while continuing to meet the demands of a rapidly changing industry.”
The machinery dealer confirmed that this strategic move enables the company to prioritise improving the overall customer experience, ensuring that clients continue to receive the dependable, responsive, and expert support necessary to keep their operations running efficiently.
A company’s spokesperson added: “Rea Valley Tractors extends its heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team at Newport, whose hard work and commitment have been instrumental to the depot’s success.
“The majority of the Newport team will transition to other Rea Valley Tractors locations, ensuring continuity of service for customers.
“The company also wishes to express its gratitude to its loyal customers in the region. Rea Valley Tractors remains steadfast in its commitment to the area and confident in its ability to provide outstanding support through its expanded network and alternative depots.
