Livestock killed and barns with machinery destroyed in farm fire 

A substantial number of livestock has been killed and two barns with equipment were destroyed in a blaze, leaving a Guisborough farm owner “devastated”. 

Cleveland Fire Brigade were called to the incident at Margrove Park in Guisborough at 4:49 am on Friday 1st November.

Cleveland Fire Brigade were called to the incident at Margrove Park in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, at 4:49 am on Friday 1st November. 

Despite the best efforts from five fire crews, the blaze resulted in the loss of a substantial number of livestock, around 600 bales of hay, two barn sheds and equipment, including a tractor and digger.

A spokesperson for the Cleveland Fire Brigade said that the firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control and protect surrounding areas. 

“The owner has been left devastated by the loss, and we extend our thoughts and sympathies to them during this difficult time,” they added. 

An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of this incident.
