Pink feed bag launches to raise money for cancer charity
16th October 2024
HJ Lea Oakes has launched a pink bag for its cattle and sheep feed to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, feed manufacturer HJ Lea Oakes Ltd will make a donation to charity for each pink bag of feed sold.
There are around 56,000 new diagnoses of breast cancer each year, including 370 men.
HJ Lea Oakes has launched a pink bag for its Rearer 17 Nuts and Lamb Starter-Finisher Pellets.
For every bag sold the company will donate £1 to Breast Cancer Now.
To date, the charity has invested £299 million in breast cancer research. It’s currently funding over 100 cutting-edge projects to discover how to prevent the disease, save lives, and help people to live well with and beyond the disease.
Wear it Pink
Lorry drivers will also wear pink hi-vis vests whilst out delivering the bulk and bagged feeds.
Meanwhile, HJ Lea Oakes is hosting a ‘Wear it Pink’ Day on the 18th October, raising further funds and promoting the charity.
Staff will wear their best pink attire and compete for a prize for the best dressed department, as well as indulging in some sweet-treats from an office cake sale.
