Farmers can get more from their tractors thanks to Fendt’s new retrofit options 

Additional hydraulic valves, retrofit side windscreen wipers; a cab-mounted MultifixBoard to fix control boxes to, and a base plate to hold a trailer hitch, hand wash container, or toolbox, have all been listed for UK Fendt owners to benefit from this year. 
 
Ed Dennett, Fendt’s retail market manager for Northwest Europe, said: “Many Fendts will be operating on UK farms for decades, and retrofit options like these help some of our older models remain versatile and comfortable for operators.  

“Our Smart AG Engineering division’s efforts to help Fendt customers update their machines is admirable and there are some genuinely innovative options now available.” 

The Fendt 200 and 300 Vario models have four hydraulic valves as standard. A front loader takes up two valves, so the addition of two freely assignable hydraulic valves can provide all 200 Vario Gen3 and 300 Vario Gen4 series running FendtONE the option to use up to four valves to operate further implements, the manufacturer confirmed.

Mr Dennett added: “The two additional valves are fully integrated as the 5th and 6th EHS valves (brown and violet) into FendtONE. Both are installed in the rear yellow and blue valve spaces, and the multi-coupler in the centre of the tractor occupies the yellow and blue valves as usual.” 

The valves will be available towards the end of 2024 in the UK, and the retrofit kit includes a cable set, piping, colour clips for the valve caps and installation instructions. 

Getting more from tractors 

The manufacturer confirmed that additional storage to help 300 and 700 Vario customers has been designed in the form of a base plate fitted to the right side of the tractor to enable a holder for the trailer hitch, or a handwash container with integrated soap dispenser, to be mounted.  

Operators can also opt to use the additional space to add a toolbox or a holder for brooms and shovels. 

“The team has also designed a new retrofittable side windscreen wiper, which will help when using boom mowers or working in poor weather conditions. All these updates will help existing Fendt customers get more from their tractors, further extending the life of Fendts in a way that demonstrates our commitment to value and sustainability,” Mr Dennett concluded.
