Rectory Farm in North Yorkshire launched its latest business project, vending machines that offer milk and dairy products to local customers.

Rectory Farm, managed by Edward Berry, who took over the management at 23 years of age when his father passed away in 2017, has adopted a robotic ‘on demand’ milking system manufactured by Lely.

The majority of Rectory Farm’s milk is sold to Lancashire Farm Dairies, another family-run business that produces yoghurt and other dairy products.

The company collects an average haul of 3000 litres of raw, unpasteurised milk per day.

Safe and delicious product

Mr Berry and his partner, Charlotte Wood, have recently come up with the idea to launch direct-to-public milk and milkshake vending machines.

With the support of Charles Wait, the couple invested in a small pasteurising and processing unit.

The farm owners said that their goal was to create a safe and delicious product that reflects on the amazing cows and landscape.

Local residents are now able to easily get Rectory Farm’s pasteurised whole milk and milkshakes from the vending machine located at the farm.
