Two Darlington men linked to £1m farm machinery theft arrested  

Two men have been arrested in Darlington in connection with the theft of farm machinery worth about £1 million.

Two men have been arrested in Darlington by Durham Police in connection with the theft of farm machinery worth about £1 million.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, 9th April, Durham Police officers stopped an “out of place” vehicle and identified two men who were linked to allegations of high value agricultural machinery thefts across the country.

Both males were arrested and have since been handed over to the lead force for the investigation.

A police spokesperson said that the machinery was worth “estimated in the region of a million pounds”.

They added: “As this is very much a live case. […] Details are a little vague, so we can preserve the work ongoing by our colleagues.”
