Applications for the 2024 Farming Equipment and Technology Fund are competitive. Farmers have the opportunity to secure grants between £1,000 and £50,000 for items to improve productivity or slurry management and £1,000 to £25,000 towards animal welfare.

In total, it is possible to receive £125,000 in financial help from the government to offer support in these three areas. The funding covers either the average cost of the item or the actual cost that the recipient will pay, significantly lowering the financial impact for farmers.

There are multiple windows to apply for this funding so if applicants choose not to the first time, then they will still have the opportunity in the future.

What items can you purchase with the grant?

Hydor has a variety of products that can improve the health and welfare of animals that farmers should take into consideration.

This includes the POLA Qfarm Livestock Computer which allows the user to completely control the environment in poultry houses with a single display. With all critical information present on one screen such as feed, ventilation, lighting and livestock weight, farmers can ensure that their animals are living in a comfortable environment to thrive.

Beyond this, farmers can also use the grant for a variety of ventilation equipment, including Hydor’s popular positive pressure tube ventilation system and Agri-Max fans.
