After filming for the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm wrapped, Diddly Squat Farm Shop shared the news on Instagram, with a video of Kaleb Cooper sprawled on the ground in a field of cows.

It’s thought the new season will be available in 2024, though an official release date has not been confirmed.

It was rumoured that the popular farming show – which has been widely praised for showing the realities of farming – would come to an end after season three following controversial comments Clarkson made about Meghan Markle.

However, Deadline reported last month that Amazon was set to renew Clarkson’s Farm, with “positive” discussions ongoing about a possible season 4 – though Amazon has not officially confirmed this.

Eagle-eyed fans also spotted an exchange on Clarkson’s girlfriend Lisa Hogan’s Instagram page – which suggests a fourth season could be on the cards.

Responding to a photo of the show’s film crew, captioned ‘penultimate week’, a fan wrote: ‘Hopefully not the penultimate week of the penultimate season’, to which Hogan replied ‘…Nope’. When another follower questioned: ‘And season 4??’, she responded with the ‘OK’ emoji.

Since its launch the show has proved a smash hit, not only with the general public, but with many farmers who appreciate its unvarnished look at British farming – from the farm’s almost non-existent profitability and endless weather challenges, to the severe red tape that scuppers his diversification attempts.

Clarkson also recently announced the launch of his third book, due for release this month, which will chart this year’s farming debacles at Diddly Squat – undoubtedly with Clarkson’s trademark humour.
