North Walsham Young Farmers Club in Norfolk has presented a cheque for £3,000 to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
The Club chose the East Anglian Air ambulance as its charity for the 2016/17 year after Tim Papworth, the Club’s life vice president, was in need of the air ambulance after obtaining a life-threatening injury seven years ago (and featured in Farmers Guide in 2016). Its aim was to raise enough money to fund one flight and, as part of its fundraising, the Club created a naked calendar posing in rural and agricultural settings.
With the sales of the calendars, its annual dinner dance raffle and other donations, the Club says that is delighted to have raised £3,000 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, to help the charity continue to do the incredible work it does.
North Walsham Young Farmers Club would like to thank all those that purchased a calendar and donated to this fantastic cause.
