A farm vet from Midlands based Scarsdale Vets showcased an innovative way of using art to illustrate bovine anatomy at the 2017 UK Dairy Day on 13th September. The Scarsdale team, led by Carolyn Baguley (Senior Farm Assistant), hosted a stand at the annual farming event, and used non-toxic, water soluble paint on two Holstein calves to help farmers better understand what lies beneath the surface of their animals’ bodies.
This bright, bold, live art installation took place in the Calf Rearing Zone, with live presentations during the day, where the team explained how the paint on the exterior can reveal what’s happening on the inside.
