Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone brewery gives away 1,000 kegs
13th March 2025
Jeremy Clarkson’s brewery, Hawkstone, has announced that it is giving away 1,000 kegs of its premium lager or cider to support pubs across the country.
Mr Clarkson first began producing Hawkstone Lager at Diddly Squat Farm on the second series of Clarkson’s Farm, using his own spring barley to brew the pints.
With tones of citrus, malt, and a subtle bitterness, the original Hawkstone Lager is ‘bold in flavour, with a smooth, delicious finish’.
In 2024, Hawkstone was named Britain’s 24th largest private company in a Sunday Times’ survey.
The brewery’s team said that they are “stepping up to help” as they are aware that running a pub is currently very difficult.
Therefore, Hawkstone is asking pub lovers to tag their favourite venues on social media so they can win a keg.
A spokesperson for Hawkstone explained: “You can also tell them about our campaign the next time you’re in there for a pint.
“All they need to do is head to hawkstone.com/pages/getakeg, fill out the form to choose whether they want a keg of Hawkstone Premium or Hawkstone Cider, and we’ll be in touch if they’re one of our lucky recipients.
“It doesn’t matter whether they already stock us or they’ve never stocked Hawkstone before – this is open to all. Let’s back our pubs and keep them going through this tough time.”

Supporting British farmers
Last year the brewery launched Hawkstone Harvest, a tribute to British harvest time.
Mr Clarkson previously said: “It is good news for other farmers, really: we’re buying barley from them because our barley harvest was shocking.
“The one farm in Britain that doesn’t need any help, really, is Diddly Squat, as it is obviously funded through other means.
“So, it is lovely to think we can build up a brand that isn’t using Italian barley, or German barley, or Spanish barley, where farmers can benefit from selling their produce to us.
“We’d love to talk to anyone who is growing hops in this country. If we could get hops that are suitable, it would be absolutely brilliant.”
2024 has also marked the opening of Jeremy Clarkson’s own pub.
The Farmer’s Dog, located in Burford, Oxfordshire, became a very popular venue among locals as well as fans of the farming show from all over the world.
While announcing his latest venture, Mr Clarkson said that the pub will serve locally-sourced ingredients as well as products from the Diddly Squat Farm and his own Hawkstone beer on draught.
While talking to the media back in September, he also confirmed that they were likely to wrap up filming for season four “in a couple of weeks”.
The material then needs to be edited and translated, so Clarkson’s Farm fans should be expecting the new season to come out around May 2025.
