Farmers invited to join Westminster tractor rally next month
28th January 2025
British farmers will again show a united front against governmental policies during a Westminster rally that is set to take place in February.
Organised by Save British Farming, the demonstration will be hosted on Monday, 10th February, from 1pm at Whitehall in London.
The organisers said: “Farmers from across the country are invited to come together and ensure we are heard and seen in Westminster, to ensure Parliament sees and hears us as they debate this important petition.
“The central focus of this rally will be large Starmer and Reeve’s effigies on a bale trailer. There will be music, speeches and then a live broadcast of the debate as it happens in Parliament to everyone on Whitehall. A prize will be awarded for the oldest tractor!”

Fundraising
The organisers of the rally are working with the Metropolitan Police to ensure the safety of the event.
Farmers have been informed that low loaders can be parked on Millbank while tractors can access Whitehall via Trafalgar Square side to ensure they are all facing towards Parliament Square.
Save British Farming has also launched a fundraising campaign to, among other things, provide a large mobile screen and sound system to display showreels and broadcast the debate.
The funds will also be used to purchase placards and banners for the rally.
The organisers added that they are planning to print faces for bale effigies of ministers.
