Nofence extends warranty and reduces prices for UK customers
10th January 2025
Norwegian virtual fencing company Nofence has announced an extended warranty period of five years for its UK customers for all collars bought from 2024 onwards.
Simultaneously, Nofence decided to lower the price of its products to broaden access to the technology within the UK market.
The company said that the five-year warranty reflects Nofence’s confidence in the durability and performance of its innovative product. This comes after Nofence customers experienced their best season ever following significant product improvements.
Developed by farmers for farmers, Nofence’s technology strives to deliver flexibility and efficiency in livestock management. As a pioneer, Nofence continues to lead the movement toward making virtual fencing increasingly more practicable and reliable than physical fences.
Price cuts to enhance affordability
Nofence said that it has also improved the robustness of battery lifetime as part of its investments in further increasing its product quality.
This increases the product’s reliability and provides more security to farmers by ensuring continuity in working virtual fences and constant monitoring of livestock when they are out grazing.
Nofence is confident that, from now on, the battery of its cattle collars will last over a nine-month grazing season, while for small ruminants, it will require a single charge – depending on usage patterns.
The price of a cattle collar will drop to £249 and to £199 for a sheep and goat collar.
Recognising that cost may have been a challenge for farmers in the UK, Nofence has engaged national and local organisations to highlight the benefits of virtual fencing, particularly for farmers’ well-being, the environment and animal health, while emphasising the need for financial support to assist farmers interested in purchasing this product.
In a similar vein, the company has managed to lower its prices by focusing on innovative price-reduction strategies, making its product more viable for a broader range of livestock operations.
Listening to customers
The extended warranty and price reduction demonstrate that Nofence carefully listens to its customers as well as its employees from the farming community and takes their input into account, the company said.
This decision also reflects that Nofence is dedicated to delivering exceptional product quality at competitive pricing. The company continues to innovate and adapt to the demands of its customers, as this had been requested by Nofence users.
With this extended warranty and lower prices, UK farmers can benefit from enhanced peace of mind, securing their purchase at the best possible rate, all while knowing their investment is protected for longer, this is a step designed to greatly improve the Return on Investment (ROI) for the product.
Nofence’s CEO Joachim Kähler highlighted the company’s focus on continuous product improvement and its objective to address the needs of its customers: “We strive to bring the most attractive offer to livestock farmers, and extending our warranty to five years in the UK is a testament to that commitment.
“This move not only reflects our confidence in the quality of our product but also that Nofence seeks to support farmers in the vital and challenging work they do each day.
“Additionally, the price reduction is another step toward ensuring that this transformative technology is more attainable for UK farmers.”
By understanding and closely collaborating with its customers and in-house farmers, Nofence continues to be well-placed to support UK farmers in managing their livestock more efficiently and sustainably.
