The sun shone on an impressive array of equipment and a steady stream of visitors turned out to the Harper & Eede Grass Demonstration Day held near Ringmer, East Sussex in June. About 250 growers attended the event at Mount Farm, by kind permission of A Peters & Son.
Organised in conjunction with Lely, the equipment being demonstrated included Lely Splendimo disc mowers and conditioners, Lely Lotus tedders, Lely Hibiscus cam rakes, Lely Welger fixed and variable chamber round balers and Lely Tigo loader wagons.
Peter Sayers, manager at Harper & Eede’s Ringmer branch commented, “We were delighted with the number of growers who made the effort to attend our demonstration. Lely helped us put on a professional event and now that we hold a full Case IH franchise, we were also able to show a range of Case IH tractors including JXU, Maxxum and Puma models, in addition to a Manitou telehandler.
“It was a splendid day and our first visitors arrived at 8am,” he continued. “We took several machinery orders on the day and have many expressions of interest to follow up. There was a lot of interest shown in the Lely Tigo loader wagon that has proved to be very popular on the continent.”
